KJ Couples: Amy and Tim

Posted by Francesca Iannaccone on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Amy and Tim, adventure-lovers from San Diego.

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

Neither of us can pinpoint a specific date, but we both knew early on in our relationship. Communication was easy for us and we were always so present in each moment together.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

Tim said, "the way she looks at me and how that makes me feel - comforted, important, loved."

What is an activity you love to do together?

Hiking! We love the outdoors. On the trail, with everything stripped away, we have our best and deepest conversations.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

We met while hiking for a Make-A-Wish fundraiser on the Pacific Crest Trail. We hiked 10 miles together on the 28-mile one-day hike. Our conversation was smooth and easy.

How did he/she propose?

After camping a night in the woods under the pines (my favorite!), Tim took me back to the same spot on the trail we met on. After hiking a few miles, he set up a camera and tricked me into thinking we were just taking some pictures in front of the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) sign. He then got down on one knee and proposed. Our wedding ceremony is even taking place on the Pacific Crest Trail!

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

Kasia jewelry is untraditional, like our love story. My Muse engagement ring and Mali wedding band have that old soul love story vibe that we were looking for. When I saw the Muse Ring, I thought of Tim, and instantly knew we found my ring.
