Just like many of you, we have been deeply saddened and frustrated by recent events. During this critical and eye-opening time, it is so easy to feel helpless and powerless. But in order to see real change, we all must start where we can: by educating ourselves, giving back when possible, and most importantly, making a real change within ourselves and our own sphere of influence. 

The fashion industry has historically portrayed a standard of beauty that favors light skin tones and slender bodies. We at Kasia Jewelry have all agreed: we can do a whole lot better promoting inclusivity and positive body image by portraying diversity within our brand.

It starts small but mighty...

We are selling this postcard, featuring artwork by our own Operations Lead, Angeline. She’s using her artistic talents to benefit the Black Lives Matter movement, by donating 100% of the proceeds to Pretty Brown Girl meanwhile Kasia Jewelry will match all donations made. 

Pretty Brown Girl says, “Our mission is to educate girls of color and encourage self-acceptance by cultivating social, emotional and intellectual well-being.” They have been trailblazers when it comes to changing our country’s viewpoint on the standard of beauty, fighting for diversity and inclusivity across multiple industries catering to women and girls. 

Kasia Jewelry’s mantra of “Create Your Own Story” celebrates each individual’s unique personality, approach, style, aesthetic, and most importantly, their own unique experiences which have shaped these things. Our goal continues to be to highlight every reflection of YOU, and we continue to be inspired by the beauty of every size, shape, color, and background.

As a daily reminder to ourselves, we have painted a mural on our showroom wall of this illustration in living color. We hope that it inspires you to tell your own story, and celebrate diversity along with us. Our goal is to continue these efforts of inclusivity long after the hashtags stop trending, and that the permanence of writing it on the wall will serve as a representation of what we strive for as a brand.

We’re sure you’ve heard the buzz by now - we are now offering Virtual Appointments for our clients! Hop on a video call with one of our stylists, and talk through all things jewelry. This can be extremely beneficial in hearing all the answers to your questions, and receiving personalized styling advice based on the pieces you love. But just how beneficial can this be without trying on the pieces in person you ask?

Say you have a unique engagement ring that you wish to find the perfect wedding band for. We are able to pull an identical or similar style (either the same carat weight, cut, or both) from our expansive collection to use in place of your engagement ring and pair with all the wedding bands you have been eyeing + some suggestions from our stylists!

2. Resources at max!

You will be able to see the pieces not only through the video conference, but through the use of close-up images and videos taken and sent directly to you - in the moment - including all of the pieces you wish to see! 

3. Here for ANY questions!

Often times, purchasing fine jewelry piece is a brand new experience for our clients. We are sure you have many questions, and we are here to help equip you with all of the knowledge you need to make such a special purchase any step of the way!

May babies, this one is for YOU...

While we will forever love our diamonds, we also have many gemstones within our collection. Aquamarines with ocean hues, the dramatic and #Kasiatribe favorite black onyx, feminine and playful morganite, and of course - the elegant and classically beautiful Emerald.

Emeralds go way back! The first emerald mines were known to have been in Ancient Egypt, dating all the way back to 3500BC. Cleopatra was known for her immense love of emeralds, and they have ever since been associated with royalty and opulence. We'll take that!

Their totally unique color variations, from faint green all the way to deep saturated forest green, will forever be striking and always desirable. When hand selecting each emerald for the collection, Kasia looks for stones in the middle color range, preferably with a bit of blue undertone wherever possible. We love emeralds for many different reasons - specifically as an alternative bridal heirloom, or as a piece one can purchase to show themself some love. Although please remember that emerald is a softer stone, and can be susceptible to cracking if struck in a certain way with enough force. Therefore, treat emerald pieces with extra love and care!

Sometimes referred to as the “Stone of Successful Love,” emerald is thought to stimulate the heart chakra. It is said to have a healing effect on the emotional and physical heart. Fun fact: Emerald represents unconditional love, unity, kindness, and friendship. 

And let’s be honest, we could all use a little of that in our life right now.
