Taking a Bold Approach

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

Kasia has had her head full of new inspirations and ideas...and we are so excited to share them with you.

Jewelry is often referred to as wearable art. These rather statement ring designs are steering in a more masculine direction with unique form that showcase a well-defined blend of futuristic features and simplicity. Exuding a casual cool feel, with a bold take on gender neutrality, these newest pieces were born out of a response to this “different” year..

Displaying an unapologetic boldness and a fighter attitude, each piece uses a one-of-a-kind stone that cannot be replicated. Find unexpected details in the positioning of each stone and appreciate a true beauty in the slight misalignment.

We love these pieces as alternative bridal engagement rings, or to be worn as statement pieces. (Because your right hand deserves it, too.)

When a piece of jewelry can make you feel as though you have some sort of superpower: amazing strength and a feeling of being untouchable, you’ve found something truly special. And we hope these pieces bring you just that.

Let’s bring on 2021 with nothing but those superpowers! Shop these pieces and more here.

KJ Couples: Celestine & Max

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Celestine and Max, two hearts of gold we are so lucky to know.

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

We both knew pretty early on that we wanted to
spend our lives together. We got engaged a little over a year of knowing each other.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

He inspires me!

What is an activity you love to do together?

We love making our place a home! We’ve been nesting and
enjoy decorating our place and making it feel like “us”.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

Max and I met at Westbean Coffee in Bankers Hill. I was the manager and he’d come in to work on his business. We had a professional tie because he worked on Westbean’s website which I actually pitched for and didn’t get. After seeing it I was super impressed and very curious who knocked it out of the park. Little did I know it was him who was behind it! As he came in more regularly we got to know each other more and more. We learned that we both lived in Philadelphia, worked on the same block there, had similar goals and knew A LOT of the same people - it felt surreal how we had all of these connections and have never met until now. It was the most serendipitous thing I’ve ever experienced. We connected on a soul level and I knew it was something special.

How did he/she propose?

Max proposed in Philly at Bartram’s Garden. It’s the oldest botanic garden in the country. We went for a walk and explored their 50-acre garden during the annual Honey Festival. We found a bench in the shade under a tree overlooking the water. I remembered it being so beautiful and peaceful. Moments later he started talking about us and how much I meant to him and before you know it he was on one knee! Of course I said YES!! I was overcome with so many emotions that the rest was a blur, ha!

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

When the time came, he really wanted me to be involved in choosing the ring. I knew I wanted it to be sophisticated, romantic and like nothing I’ve ever seen! Once I found the one the rest was history :) We got our wedding bands from KJ as well and we can’t wait to get married!!!

KJ Couples: Zelti & Mikey

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Zelti and Mikey, ultra cool surfers from South Africa.

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

It wasn’t an exact moment, but more a feeling that grew over time. We were very young when we started dating, but it was just so effortless, and our chemistry and connection was so strong that I knew right away that I wanted him to be a part of my life forever.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

Oh no this is so tricky because there is so much I love about him! But I would say he is extremely kindhearted, which is a quality I hugely respect and admire in him.

What is an activity you love to do together?

Honestly, everything! We do everything together, live together, travel together, work together, but even the most simple things like playing card games at home, cooking or going for a walk or surf together is just so fun and amazing.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

We met in a bar in Cape Town when we were both far too young to even be there, ha! We didn’t immediately start dating though because Mikey was traveling and competing a lot and I was still in school, but about a year after this we met again and started dating immediately.

How did he/she propose?

Mikey proposed to me in Porto, which is the most beautiful little city in Portugal. It was very intimate and romantic; we were just having a glass of wine in these stunning Palace gardens that overlooked the whole city when he asked me. I loved it, there were lots of tears and laughter and then he took me to Paris the next day to celebrate, it was incredible!

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

So Kasia was a jeweler that I had saved and pinned on my Instagram and Pinterest for a few years and I think after some investigation Mikey caught on to this and contacted Kasia to make my engagement ring. He always says how he had the most seamless, lovely experience and how the Kasia team just made him feel very at ease throughout the whole process.

Then a few months after we got engaged, we drove down to Solana Beach again for me to meet Kasia and for us to choose our wedding bands. This was super exciting because I could finally meet everyone and thank them for my beautiful engagement ring. During our time at the Kasia showroom, I instantly connected with Kasia as she is very warm and personable! We loved the experience entirely and naturally we have kept in contact since then! We can’t wait to visit again and hopefully add some more beautiful, timeless pieces to our collection.

Thanks Kasia and team!

Your Guide to At-Home Cleaning

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

There’s nothing like the way your brand new Kasia Jewelry piece sparkles and shines straight out of the box! Be it a Diamond, Emerald, Aquamarine, Onyx, or other precious stone, a polished and pristine gem can truly make your heart skip a beat.

In order to ensure your piece lasts many lifetimes and becomes a true heirloom, you must take the proper steps to care for it! It starts with cleaning and regular check ups.

So, how can you keep it looking as good as new in between professional cleanings?

Traditional jewelry cleaners can often be too harsh on the metal and stone. We recommend keeping it simple. All you need are these three ingredients:

Warm Water
Mild Soap
Soft Toothbrush

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1: Plug the drain! (For obvious reasons.)
Step 2: Apply soap and water to the toothbrush.
Step 3: Delicately brush away dirt and fingerprints. Be sure to get under your center stone (that’s where the real shine comes from) and in between settings.

As you clean your pieces, this is the perfect time to inspect for any potential loose stones or not-so-tight prongs. Tap on the stone(s) and listen for any faint sounds. You can also lightly shake the piece next to your ear. If there are any loose stones, you will hear a faint clinging noise.

We do so many things with our hands: reaching into the dark abyss that is our purse, lifting heavy weights, giving our newest plant baby a home in the soil, or scrubbing the sink sparkling clean, and these are just a few to name. What the majority of the jewelry industry doesn’t tell you is that all of this can really take a toll on your fine jewelry pieces! It is not everyone's standard to inform their clients of this, however we feel it is so important to educate our clients on how to properly wear the pieces they have such a deep connection to.

In order to ensure all stones stay intact, and that the structure of your pieces stay as strong as they were designed, we recommend bringing in your pieces for what we like to call an “oil change” every 6 months. Our design team will thoroughly examine your piece, and check for any potential damage waiting to happen! This is the true secret to keeping your pieces in new condition for years to come. We will also give it a deep clean in one of our ultrasonics and return the clean & shiny piece back within 7 days.

Schedule your six month check up by following this link, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us here with any questions you may have relating to proper care.
