KJ Couples: Kassaundra & Thomas

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Kassaundra & Thomas, two absolute sweethearts we are honored to call clients. You are going to want to grab your tissues for this one!

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

Kassie:

While I was still going to school, Thomas got offered a job in Pittsburgh, PA. All throughout the interview process, and even when he first told me about the position, I knew that he should pursue it and that no matter what I would be by his side through it all. I think we both felt that even if we were scared, we would have each other and that it would be such an incredible adventure to share. Making big life decisions and feeling confident in them because you know you can always rely on someone to be there for you really shifts the perspective on your relationship. From that point, it really did feel like we were together as one, instead of two separate people. I think that’s when we both knew that we had found someone special and that we wanted to spend our lives together going on scary but wonderful adventures.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

Thomas:

Two things come to mind immediately upon reading this question. First of all is Kassie’s kindness. She always goes out of her way to do well by everyone in her life and is honestly the most thoughtful person I can say I’ve ever met. Secondly, her openness to new things. Whether it be a trip to somewhere neither of us have been, a concert or event that is outside of our norm, food, music, books, anything, she’s always enthusiastic about new experiences and getting out there. I appreciate that very much.

Kassie:

Thomas truly and absolutely allows and pushes me to be the truest version of myself. I have always felt a bit like I don’t quite fit in, or that I had to be a certain way in order for others to love me. I have never met someone so open to others and understanding, someone who allows you to be yourself in all forms and accepts you for it. Thomas has shown me love that I have never experienced, and it’s because I have never been more myself than I am with him.

What is an activity you love to do together?

Kassie:

Without a doubt, going to live shows. Thomas has an infinite love for music, and he has opened my ears to so many incredible artists that I would have never heard of without him. Going to live shows honestly gives us happiness that you genuinely cannot get from anything else. You feel a sense of community in a way with the people in the crowd, and it’s such a special thing to be able to sing at the top of your lungs with a room full of strangers. Definitely will be the number one thing we do post pandemic.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

Thomas:

We actually met when we were quite young, a long time before we came together as a couple. I believe I was about 13(?) and was getting started at a gymnastics gym where Kassie happened to be taking cheer classes. Every Friday night for a few years we were always there for open gym, and over time that developed into a friendship outside of the gym too. From there we remained quite close through high school and college, but it wasn't until I finished college and moved back to Vegas that our relationship developed. Within days of my moving back we were seeing each other just about every day, just as friends (or so we thought), but over the next few months feelings grew and everything fell into place naturally for us to be together.

How did he/she propose?

Thomas:

It was early July, peak pandemic resurgence time, when I received Kassie’s ring in the mail. I previously had plans about how I might propose in this or that situation (none of which will be detailed here since they’re still good settings for future events!), but within a day or two of having that ring at home I was aching to propose as soon as I could. Kassie had joked about how she didn’t need anything special and that if/when I’m ever to propose I should just have it waiting there when she wakes up. So...I thought it would be a cute little call back to that to actually go through with it since COVID was preventing a lot of other things and I didn’t want it to be a situation that would obviously be leading to something.

However, the morning that I thought it might be a good idea Kassie had slept horribly and didn’t wake up feeling great, so I made the executive decision to abort the mission for the moment.

I believe the next day Kassie was getting ready to leave to go to a friends house and we were joking about something wedding/proposal related and as she was about to walk out the door I asked her to turn around because she had forgotten something. She immediately kicked her shoes off when she saw me on one knee and then...ran into another room? After containing herself for a second she came out and Koda, our cat, had walked over and sat next to me as if he was in on the proposal with me (thanks for the vote of confidence).

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

Kassie:

I have looked what seems like endlessly at rings online. My want has obviously changed here and there, and as I got older I really came into the notion of wanting something understated by elegant and unique. I think I came upon the Kasia Instagram around two years ago and the first picture I have saved is a solitaire oval with the wave band. Here we are two years later with my engagement being a solitaire oval and having just chosen the wave band for my wedding band (lol). Honestly the more I saw from the brand the more I knew I wanted my ring to be from you. I loved that it was a small business ran by women, that it was somewhat near us seeing as we are from Las Vegas, and obviously that everything you do is beautiful. When I first saw the milgrain band paired with solitaires I KNEW that was my perfect ring. It was the perfect amount of simplicity with a unique twist that I had never seen anyone have. Anyway, long story short you are such a beautiful brand that constantly brings out unreal products and I feel so fortunate to be apart of the couples who have your rings. I also need to just say that our showroom appointment was such an amazing experience. Chloe made Thomas and I feel like family from the very beginning of the appointment. She was very in tune with what our style was based off of what we told her and was just such a genuinely sweet human. It just solidified that we were in the exact right place and that this would be apart of our story forever.

KJ Couples: Ashley & Andy

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Andy & Ashley of our all-time favorite Everyday Pursuits Blog: oh so stylish couple and brand new parents from Los Angeles, CA.

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

I like to say I knew it from the moment I saw him - he was just so dreamy. Realistically it was probably 3-4yrs into our relationship after spending a lot of time together and realizing we just vibed so well together and I wanted to be by his side for the rest of my life.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

We recently became parents - watching my husband become a father is truly the best thing ever. I love the way he interacts with her and the way she looks at him with pure joy every time he enters the room. It’s really just the best thing!

What is an activity you love to do together?

We love the beach! Some of our most memorable moments happened by the water: many first dates, honeymoon, first place we lived together (Venice Beach), and the first place we took our daughter after she was born.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

All the deets here.

How did he/she propose?

All the juicy details here.

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

It all started with my wedding band and now, after 3 yrs, I have 4 beautiful Kasia rings. 3 of which are connected to significant life moments: wedding band, anniversary contour band, and push present.

We planned our wedding in a little over 4 months and to be honest, finding my wedding band was the last thing on my list. BIG mistake because come to find out it actually takes a minute to have a wedding band made. I had always seen Kasia’s work and knew one day I would own a ring from her. After realizing about 4 weeks from my wedding that I was probably not going to be able to get a wedding band in time, I decided to email Kasia to see if she had any of my favorites available. She was so sweet and came through with a beautiful option that arrived just in time for our wedding.

When it came to our one year anniversary I had been eyeing a Kasia Contour band. I sent some of my favorites to her and based on my engagement ring and wedding band she recommended the Petite Agave. It was LOVE at first sight.

Most recently my husband created out a custom Lexa Ring to commemorate my daughter’s birth. Her name is Luna (moon in Spanish) and the ring has a crescent moon shape hugging a larger diamond.

Taking a Bold Approach

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

Kasia has had her head full of new inspirations and ideas...and we are so excited to share them with you.

Jewelry is often referred to as wearable art. These rather statement ring designs are steering in a more masculine direction with unique form that showcase a well-defined blend of futuristic features and simplicity. Exuding a casual cool feel, with a bold take on gender neutrality, these newest pieces were born out of a response to this “different” year..

Displaying an unapologetic boldness and a fighter attitude, each piece uses a one-of-a-kind stone that cannot be replicated. Find unexpected details in the positioning of each stone and appreciate a true beauty in the slight misalignment.

We love these pieces as alternative bridal engagement rings, or to be worn as statement pieces. (Because your right hand deserves it, too.)

When a piece of jewelry can make you feel as though you have some sort of superpower: amazing strength and a feeling of being untouchable, you’ve found something truly special. And we hope these pieces bring you just that.

Let’s bring on 2021 with nothing but those superpowers! Shop these pieces and more here.

KJ Couples: Celestine & Max

Posted by Angeline Weiss on

We love your love! That is why we have decided to reach out to a few of our amazing Kasia Tribe members, new and returning, to tell their stories. Love is powerful, beautiful, diverse and worthy of honoring through your unique story. By sharing these openly with you, we intend to spread joy in a time when we need it the most. We understand the privilege it is to be a part of your story, and we hope the sincerity of these couples will reflect the very special relationships we aim to have with everyone who walks through our doors (whether in-person or virtually).

Next up, we have Celestine and Max, two hearts of gold we are so lucky to know.

When did you know that your partner was THE ONE?

We both knew pretty early on that we wanted to
spend our lives together. We got engaged a little over a year of knowing each other.

What is one thing you love about your significant other?

He inspires me!

What is an activity you love to do together?

We love making our place a home! We’ve been nesting and
enjoy decorating our place and making it feel like “us”.

How did you two meet? (Give us as many details as you’d like!)

Max and I met at Westbean Coffee in Bankers Hill. I was the manager and he’d come in to work on his business. We had a professional tie because he worked on Westbean’s website which I actually pitched for and didn’t get. After seeing it I was super impressed and very curious who knocked it out of the park. Little did I know it was him who was behind it! As he came in more regularly we got to know each other more and more. We learned that we both lived in Philadelphia, worked on the same block there, had similar goals and knew A LOT of the same people - it felt surreal how we had all of these connections and have never met until now. It was the most serendipitous thing I’ve ever experienced. We connected on a soul level and I knew it was something special.

How did he/she propose?

Max proposed in Philly at Bartram’s Garden. It’s the oldest botanic garden in the country. We went for a walk and explored their 50-acre garden during the annual Honey Festival. We found a bench in the shade under a tree overlooking the water. I remembered it being so beautiful and peaceful. Moments later he started talking about us and how much I meant to him and before you know it he was on one knee! Of course I said YES!! I was overcome with so many emotions that the rest was a blur, ha!

How does Kasia Jewelry fit into your story?

When the time came, he really wanted me to be involved in choosing the ring. I knew I wanted it to be sophisticated, romantic and like nothing I’ve ever seen! Once I found the one the rest was history :) We got our wedding bands from KJ as well and we can’t wait to get married!!!
